Paddle for Puppies 2025
What time should I arrive?
Registration check-in will be open from 6:45am to 8:00am and we aim to have everyone on the water by 8:15am. We recommend arriving early to allow time for parking, check-in, and gearing up.
Can I bring my dog?

Is the event kid-friendly?
Yes! Families and children are welcome to attend. No prior experience is required. This is a non-competitive, beginner-friendly paddle. All paddlers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Can I bring my own kayak, canoe, or paddleboard?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own watercraft. Please note you must provide your own lifejacket and pump to inflate your watercraft if you choose this option. We will have volunteers working the boat drop-off station at Rowing Dock so you can drop it off and then park. For your safety, do not attempt to carry your board from the parking area to Rowing Dock. To expedite the process and to get everyone out on the water as quickly as possible, we highly recommend renting a boat from Rowing Dock through the registration process.
Will there be lifejackets available?
Where do I park?
Recommended Parking Lots and Addresses:
LBL Parking Lot – 2350 Stratford DriveGravel Lot – 2300 Stratford Drive
Given limited parking options throughout Zilker Park, we heavily encourage ride-sharing, biking, or public transit via CapMetro. There is a large gravel lot east of Mopac for the easiest parking, with a 5-10 minute walk to Rowing Dock ($7/vehicle). The city of Austin has made Stratford Drive a NO PARKING zone. Please be advised to park in the designated parking areas. Violators risk being ticketed or towed.
